Jeff enjoys working with the youth at North Star Treatment Center, and loves how the staff have a positive attitude of helping the patient’s progress and change as rapidly as they can to return home.
Jeff earned his Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University, which is located in Phoenix, Arizona. It was a three-year graduate program, followed by a year of work experience under direct supervision. He enjoyed the program and felt it taught him what he needed to learn.
Jeff has gained work experience by working with The Learning Center for Families. While there, he worked with children in their development and taught their parents how to help their child.
He worked with the children and families at the facility and with home visits. He then began working with Southwest Behavioral Health Center, in which he worked with elementary school age children. While there, he would meet with students at their school, and parents would attend to learn skills to help their children.
Jeff has also worked with the Southern Utah University Head Start program. In this program, he worked with children on behaviors in a school setting to get them ready to begin elementary school. Jeff went on to work for a co-ed treatment center, that was a working ranch that worked with patients from the ages of 12 to 18. He has experience working with youth who had drug and alcohol addictions, and all behavior and trauma symptoms.
Jeff loves the opportunity he has to work with the youth at North Star and their families, and
values the opportunity to spend time doing what is his passion.
